The bilingual, English/Portuguese, version of “The Mystery of the Portuguese Waltzes/O Mistério das Valses Portuguesas” toured Portugal from May 24th to June 7th.
Poética Edições in Lisbon published the edition with translation by Luísa MiraCorrêa and illustrations by José Cardoso.
As part of Vila do Conde’s week-long fishermen’s festival, A Semana do Pescador, “The Mystery of the Portuguese Waltzes” was presented in schools and to the festival public.
Lisbon’s historic Palácio de Galveias Library hosted a presentation, followed by an event at the Lisbon Book Fair where accordionist Inês Vaz performed the Portuguese Waltzes.
Praia de Mira on Portugal’s “Silver Coast” was the next stop for a presentation in the community cultural centre followed by a meeting with schoolchildren in Vila Nova de Poiares.
