Bill Pechet

Bill Pechet is an artist and designer whose work explores the spaces between art, architecture, public space, and landscape. His Vancouver studio has created cemeteries, memorials, public art, plazas, lighting, street furnishings, exhibitions, stage sets, and houses. In 2006, under the banner of Pechet and Robb Art and Architecture, Bill and his partner represented Canada at the Venice Biennale of Architecture. In 2018, Pechet received the Carter Wosk Award, the highest award in the province, for his creative achievements in local, national, and international milieus. 

He has illustrated several books, including Waiting for Gertrude and The Lady From Kent. His book first publication with Running the Goat, Hare B&B, was shortlisted for the Elizabeth Mzarik-Cleaver Canadian Picture Book Award and the Marilyn Baillie Picture Book Award, and was co-winner in two categories of the Next Generation Indie Book Awards.  Lola Flies Alone was a winner in one category and a finalist in another of the same award program.  His third Running the Goat collaboration, My Bunny Lies Over the Ocean will be published in May 2024.
